4 stars – It was really good

Sheriff deputy and Valkyrie, Jenna Blythe, is sent to answer an emergency call with fire chief and werewolf, Titus Merrow. They both end up under a spell caused by someone from Jenna’s past who wants revenge.

This was a fun, food filled, race against the clock to find a way to stop the bad guys and free them from the spell. Jenna and Titus are not very friendly towards each other in the beginning but that changes after they have to work together to get rid of the spell on them. I enjoyed their hate to love romance, especially since there was the spell component that was also influencing their feelings.

Jenna was just as dangerous as I expected her to be. I really enjoyed how competent and strong she was. We also get to learn more about Valkyries and what they do, which I really loved because I have been wanting to know more since Tessa’s book (The Vampire’s Fake Fiancée).  Titus was a great alpha hero who was protective but also knew Jenna could take care of herself. Now all the Merrow siblings are in a relationship.

Overall, this was another fun adventure for the series. I really hope we get a book about Jenna’s friend because her abilities seem fascinating and I want to know more about them.
