Hello and welcome to my book blog!
My name is Ashley! I am a prolific reader, archivist, and tea lover. I spend every waking moment that I can reading because it makes me extremely happy.
The majority of what I read is romance, focusing mostly on paranormal romance and Urban Fantasy. But I do read almost every genre of romance, I just prefer some more than others. I also enjoy reading nonfiction (mainly history related), graphic novels, and the occasional classic.
My passion for reading led me to a career in libraries. I am an archivist for a University Archive working with their congressional collections. I found a passion in preserving history during an internship in college and it pushed me to pursue a career preserving history. I have been in this position for a few years now and I have yet to regret my decision.
As you can tell, I have dedicated my life to books and preserving knowledge. I think one of the most important things I have learned in life is that it is extremely important to continue educating ourselves outside of a school setting. School is useful, but it omits so much, which why it’s extremely important to continue you education once you leave. If you can learn to educate yourself, you can do anything.

Red-Haired Ash Reads was created in December 2019. I started this blog because in 2019 I challenged myself to review every book I read. While difficult at first, I quickly found that I really enjoyed writing reviews for books. It was also another way I could support my favorite authors.
