4 stars – It was really good

Callum Ward is sent to the Cambodian jungle to protect an archaeologist group. He quickly realizes this isn’t going to be an easy security job, especially since there is a prickly and opinionated photographer who he can’t stop thinking about. Things quickly turns dangerous when Silk Road, a black-market antiques group, show up to steal an artifact from the site.

I really liked Dani Navarro. She has an eye for beauty and capturing the essence of a moment through her camera. She uses her camera to hide from the world and prevent connections from forming. I quite enjoyed her spunkiness and how she didn’t fall for Cal’s smooth talking in the beginning. Cal was an alpha male and adventure junkie. These two learned to lean on each other and how to open themselves up to feelings again. I quite enjoyed their adventure.

I can’t wait to read Logan’s story because he needs a HEA.

CW: attempted mugging; gun violence and injuries; death of a friend mentioned; PTSD;
