Wow, this was a great start to a new series! I am so glad I picked this up after a fellow reviewer posted about it.
Poe Montgomery is twenty-three with no direction for his life. He is aimless and spends his time tagging buildings with graffiti and trying not to get caught. He gets a new perspective on his life after his father’s friend, Jerico, offers him a position as the job of receptionist with the possibility of apprenticeship at his tattoo shop.
I quite liked Jerico and Poe. They were so good for each other. Jerico was a great character. I love a good mature character who is also a silver fox (he’s 40 FYI). I loved that even though he is a mature character he still grows throughout the book and finds his happiness. Poe really shows him a new way at looking at life that brings him true happiness.
Poe was a punk kid who had no direction in the beginning. He did a lot of growing up and maturing once he found his passion for tattooing. I really enjoyed how much his character grew throughout this book. By the end we really see how much being at the tattoo shop and with Jerico really changed him and made him a better person. I really loved Poe. I also love his name and that it didn’t ruin his love for E.A. Poe.
I am interested in seeing where this series will go. I know the next book will probably be about Blue, who I didn’t love, but I want to see if he is willing to change.

I enjoyed this one too! I’ve been waiting forever for another book though.
