1. Participate in a reading challenge.
This year I will be participating in Romanceopoly again. My goal is to try and do both the Sun and Moon boards but only use books I already own or KU books. I am trying to minimize my spending this year on books because I end up buying a lot (discounted usually) that I don’t read for a long time. I will be posting blog updates as this challenge goes on so expect to see those.

2. Try to lower my kindle TBR (800+).
This is a large number but over half of those books were free and the rest were usually discounted. My goal is to try and get this down and not add to it this year. We will see though because I have a bad habit of one-clicking freebies.
I have decided to participate in the 2020 Tackle My TBR Challenge hosted by KimberlyFaye Reads to help push me to actually do it.
3. Read 5 classics.
I have had this goal for the past few years and I usually can get five read. I do this because there are so many “classic” books out there that are always recommended but most people don’t read them. I try to challenge myself to read at least five and I am usually surprised by how much I enjoy them.
I also do this because when assigned these books in school no one really loves them. I have found quite a few classics that I love now but hated when they were assigned in school (i.e. The Scarlet Letter, Lord of the Rings). I want to experience them as an adult and see why they are labeled as classics.

4. Read 5 non-fiction books.
I don’t have any specific non-fiction books for this prompt. It usually is very eclectic and all over the place. I usually just read what appeals to me.

5. Read 8 witchcraft books.
I am a witch so I like to push myself to read a few books every year to expand myself and my practice. I know some people my be upset by this but it’s part of my life and reading habits so I want to be clear on that.

6. Get Netgally percentage to 80%.
My percentage is currently at 75% and has been floating around that number for months. I really want to get at 80% and stay there this year.
7. Continue to build and promote my blog.
Since this is a new thing for me, I want to make an effort to promote it. I don’t know how it will change in the future but I can’t wait to see how it grows by the end of the year.
