Title: Vampires Are Forever
Author: Lynsay Sands
Series: Argeneau #8
Pages: 381

When Thomas’s aunt Marguerite goes missing, he drops everything to head to London to look for her. He doesn’t expect that he will have to feed off the assistant Bastian arranged for him, or that he wouldn’t be able to read her afterwards. Now he has found his life mate but now she is in danger from whoever took Marguerite.
I am pretty sure this book was my first paranormal romance and kicked off my love of vampire romances. Thomas may appear to be the family loafer, but in reality he is an accomplished musician and his scores appear throughout the world. Thomas was a wonderful hero. He was sweet, protective, and so excited that he found his life mate so early in his life. I really liked him, especially since he risked the sun to show Inez around Amsterdam.
Inez is a capable and career oriented woman. She was a problem solver and really helped find clues in the hunt for Marguerite. While I did really like her, I got a bit tired of her constant negative thoughts about her body. It would be nice if we had a heroine without body issues in this series but it didn’t ruin the story for me.
Thomas and Inez’s relationship was a quick one with them falling for each other over the week they were looking for Marguerite. Inez starts out not trusting Thomas because he does bite her revealing the truth about Immortals, but quickly realizes how sweet and great he is. I enjoyed the progression of her feelings and how these two finally ended up as life mates.
Overall, this was another enjoyable Argeneau book. I can’t wait to jump into the next one and find out what happened to Marguerite.
P.S. Why does the cover have a lady with straight hair? Inez has curly hair.
TW: Inez has a negative self image of her body and it is frequently thought about; bullying mentioned; knife violence; blood; loss of control (mind control);
