3 stars – I liked it

Henry spent his entire adult life working eighty+ hours a week seeking success. When his business went under he was left with nothing to show for the years of grinding and is now living with his brother with no idea what to do with himself. When his recent hook up becomes his new coworker he wonders if the universe is trying to screw him over more or tell him to pursue his feelings for Auggie.

This was an enjoyable low angst, high heat one night stand turned coworkers romance. Henry is a 48 year old man who has hit rock bottom and is struggling to restart his life. He is also realizing that he wasn’t really happy with his previous life and is trying to figure out what makes him happy. I enjoyed seeing Henry regain his happiness and life back but I did get a bit tired of him being hot and cold towards Auggie in the beginning, which Auggie even points out at one point.

Auggie was a muscular, tattooed mechanic who was extremely sweet and kind. I loved how he supported Henry and showed him that he was more than his bank account. He really was a great partner and a great friend to Henry. Also I loved Hamlet, his pet pig.

Overall, this was an enjoyable Big Bull Mechanics book but I am getting slightly tired of the same immature and goofy 40 year old formula this series has, but I will still read the next book to see who falls next.
