3 stars – I liked it

Charlotte’s job is hanging on by a thread. Her boss has ordered her to drag an overdue manuscript out of their best selling author and she is determined to succeed and keep her job. What she doesn’t expect is for the dragon author to be so big and handsome, and hard to keep her hands off of.

Charlotte and Nakor’s story was an enjoyable forced proximity/ instant love one that I couldn’t put down. Nakor was a reclusive dragon who is used to everyone doing what he tells them too. He was grumpy and put out when Charlotte didn’t and I enjoyed every minute of it. He needed someone who wasn’t wowed by his money and actually saw the real Nakor. Nakor also needed to realize that he needed to actually listen to Charlotte and what she wanted instead of just giving her what he expected her to want, which was an enjoyable, and short, ride.

Charlotte and Nakor’s story was short, sweet, and just what I was looking for. My only real complaint would be that I wish there had been an actual discussion about Nakor’s actions and why what he did was wrong. Yes we see he feels bad about it afterwards but no discussion between them about it, which would have been nice. Overall, I really enjoyed their relationship and loved the idea of a dragon writer who writes about a treasure seeking hero. I would probably read his books.
