3 stars – I liked it

The war continues in this one. Maika finally learns the truth about Tuya, meets her aunt and grandmother, and accepts Zinn completely. I am enjoying seeing Maika grow and chart her own path. I do find it very stupid of her to not have her guard up around Tuya though and I am sure she will regret that now.

Trigger warnings: war, death, bodily injuries, blood

4 stars – It was really good
Cover for Monstress Vol. 7 by Marjorie Liu

Maika and Zinn may have been caught by Tuya but they are now completely trapped. While inside her mind, they find out the truth of both of their pasts. Kippa also finds their strength and determination to save Maika. I enjoyed this, which surprised me because I was mad about Maika being trapped so easily by Tuya. Tuya’s history was interesting but I still don’t like her. I am very interested to see what happens next now that Kippa has gone to save Maika.

Trigger Warnings; death of parents, children, and mass sacrifices.
