3 stars – I liked it

When Breed warrior Dante is forced to feed from Tess to save his life, he doesn’t expect to find that she is a Breedmate. Even though he erases her memories of that night, he still can’t stay away from her.

With this book, the world of the Breed is getting more complex and developed. We learn a little more about Darkhavens, Breedmates, and the drug Crimson. Tessa and Dante were good characters that I liked. Tess is a very strong, independent woman who has a powerful ability. Dante is a dangerous alpha male who loves to fight but doesn’t want a partner. He fights their relationship the whole way.

This book adds a new character, Agent Sterling Chase, who was very interesting. I really want to know more about him and his heartbreaking situation. I actually was more interested in his story than I was Dante and Tess’s but I still liked them.

Overall, this was a good continuation of the series. I look forward to learning more about the rest of the Breed Warriors.

Trigger Warnings:

  • References to sexual abuse by a family member
  • Dante sleeps with someone after meeting the heroine
  • Non-consensual blood drinking
