Title: Come Out & Prey
Author: C. Rochelle
Series: Trinity of Blood #3
Pages: 163

It’s been forty years since Max and Damon found Star and ran from California. They are now living in Maine and Max is helping build a community of monsters and humans. When Max realizes his mates might be in danger again, he struggles with his need to protect them, while also dealing with the memories of his past. Will this finally push Max to seek help for his past or will it push his mates away?
This was a great conclusion for this trilogy. Max, Star, and Damon are thriving in Maine, especially Star and Damon who have put in the effort to deal with their trauma. Max still refuses to discuss his past but we can quickly see that it is affecting him, even though he tries to deny it.
I really loved these three and their relationship dynamics. Their love is so strong and you can really see how they take care of each other, and not just sexually. I loved Damon and Star taking care of Max and letting him be protective of them. Everything about this triad is about acceptance and loving each other as they are and I was totally here for it.
In this we also learn more about the hater Vlad and why he has such a stick up his ass towards them when they were in California. It was great to learn the truth about Vlad and what really triggered past events. I also really loved that these revelations came with the bonus of Damon getting back some of his family.
Overall a fantastic continuation and ending for these three. I really enjoyed this trilogy and seeing these three find each other. Also the cameos in this from Tales of Strange Vacationland were a great little bonus.
