Title: Longing for the Alien Lawman
Author: Ursa Dax
Series: Cowboy Colony Mail-Order Brides #8
Pages: 308

When Doctor Lualhati receives a message asking if she knows any doctors who want to work on a prison planet, it comes as a surprise. But it quickly becomes a lifesaver when Lualhati finds her fiance with another woman and no longer having a job. But when she arrives on the planet, she doesn’t expect to find herself falling for the cool and disciplined Warden Hallum.
I have been eagerly waiting for Warden Hallum’s book because I wanted to see this straightlaced man go a bit crazy. Hallum was a surprisingly lovely character. He may seem like a gruff, controlling, and imposing man, but we quickly see that he has a heart of gold underneath all that. He just likes things to be a certain way. I liked seeing his struggle to control himself throughout this book and how hard he fell for Lualhati. I just love when a man falls hard and fast and then struggles to keep it under control until he can actually admit it to his partner.
Lualhati was a very interesting woman. She is an OBGYN who loves what she does. But she also longs for a partner so she can start her own family. I really loved how upbeat she was from the very beginning and how she jumped right into teaching the men about women. She was perfect for Hallum because she helped him loosen up a little but also never tried to change his personality.
Lualhati and Hallum were a fantastic couple. They had a slow building relationship that grew as they got to know each other. I really enjoyed the pacing of it and how they both struggled to keep their feelings in check because they didn’t think the other one reciprocated it. Once they do admit it though, they go all in, which is another thing I love. Basically, these two were great and I really loved their relationship.
Overall this was another fantastic alien romance for this series. I can’t wait to read the next one and see the rest of Warden Hallum’s men find love.
