Like the title of this book suggests, this was all about huge changes that are happening in Harry’s life. Susan Rodriguez has returned to Chicago to ask Harry for help after Ariana Ortega, Duchess of the Red Court, discovered her big secret. A secret that impacts Harry too.

This book was filled with a lot of shocking revelations, twists, and actions. Harry is put through the ringer as he realizes everything he thought he knew isn’t exactly true. He also has to make huge sacrifices in this one that leads to him making agreements he swore he would never make. As the title said, everything changes for him in an instant and we see how far Harry will go to protect those he loves.

Not only does this show how far Harry will go to protect someone, we also get to see how strong his friends and allies are now. I really love the progression of Harry’s character over this series, but my favorite part is how his friend circle has grown and how they are so supportive. There is a big showdown in this and Harry really brings in everyone he can to fix it, so it was just great to see Murphy, Thomas, and some of the others reappear to help out. Also the holy swords come back into play, which always make for interesting fights.

Not only are there a lot of shocking revelations throughout this book, we also get a shocking ending. We are left on a bit of a cliffhanger as to what will happen next to Harry and if he is ok. I didn’t expect this and now I need to jump into the next one as soon as possible to find out if he is ok.
