Weekly Wrap Up | March 14, 2026

This year I want to change things up on my blog, so I have decided to stop doing WWW Wednesdays, and instead will be doing weekly wrap ups on Saturdays. I have always felt weird about doing wrap ups on Wednesdays so I felt this year would be a great time to change things up.

Like WWW Wednesdays, I will be going over what I am reading, what I have finished, and what I will be reading next. But I might also include some things about how my week has been and what I have been watching. This just gives me a chance to make these weekly posts more my own.

Currently Reading

Currently I am reading Making Monsters: Inside Stories from the Creators of Hollywood’s Most Iconic Creatures by Marshall Julius and Howard Berger and rereading Married to the Alien Mountain Man by Ursa Dax.

Honestly, Making Monsters has been a bit of a disappointment because it was not at all what I was expecting from the title/blurb of this book. MTHAMM is one of my favorite Ursa Dax books though so at least that balances out the disappointment from Making Monsters.

Recently Finished

This week was all about rereading the Cowboy Colony Mail-Order Bride series by Ursa Dax. The newest book came out and I felt like rereading the whole series before reading it because this is just a fun and low angst series, and I kind of need that right now.

Next to Read

I plan to continue my reread of the CCMOB series. I will also be jumping back to The Dresden Files because my hold finally came in for the next book.

Currently Watching

I am currently watching One Piece Season 2! I am a huge One Piece fan and have watched all of the anime and read the manga. I loved season 1 of the live action and season 2 has been even more enjoyable! They have done a fantastic job at casting, the outfits, abilities, and the storyline so far. I also like how they are condensing it to make a faster paced story that everyone can enjoy, without loosing any of the important story arcs or characters.

Recently Watched

This week I watched quite a few movies because it was my husbands birthday and we decided to do a movie weekend. We watched four movies: Hereditary, Send Help, Begonia, and Rental Family. I will be honest, I didn’t like Hereditary at all. I found it very boring which surprised me since so many people say its really good. But I struggle to enjoy A24 movies. Rental Family was another that was just fine for me. It wasn’t what I normally watch, and I wasn’t as captivated/emotional invested in the story.

Send Help and Begonia were two I enjoyed though. Begonia was a huge surprise for me and one of my top movies so far this year. (TW for graphic and unexpected suicide though). Send Help was an enjoyable island survival movie that hits on feminine rage, the gender gap, and men’s constant dependency on women.

Have you read any of these books or watched any of these shows? What were your thoughts on them?
