Title: Destroyer of Worlds
Author: Jordan L. Hawk
Series: SPECTR #5
Pages: 141

Caleb has been taken into custody by Graham Forsyth of SPECTR’s Research Division. While Caleb knows he could easily escape, he plays along to see what Forsyth really wants with him. In the meantime, John is dealing with his feelings on Caleb being taken, Gray’s upcoming exorcism and death, and the possibility that SPECTR isn’t as grand as he always thought it was.
This was an action packed and emotional story. I was hooked from the very beginning because I just never knew what was going to happen next for Caleb, Gray, and John. Caleb and Gray really bond in this one and we see them learn to work together to take down a corrupt group. I am so glad we are finally seeing Gray and Caleb talk and work out issues together, and not be at odds all the time.
John is also dealing with a lot of emotional upheaval in this. He is upset that his promise to Caleb was broken by RD taking him into custody. But it also makes him realize how far he will go to protect Gray because it makes him realize the depths of his feelings for him already. John is also dealing with betrayal, and we see him really struggling under the weight of it.
John and Caleb’s relationship in this one was very emotional. They may be apart for a little bit in this, but it ended up just making their relationship stronger because they both realized how much they felt for the other. This is also where we finally see Gray become a part of their relationship, and I loved it. I really can’t wait to see more of how their relationship will work in the next one now that they are a thruple.
The revelations in this book were big! It’s been building for a while now with all the little problems but it finally explodes and the truth comes out. Like I said, I was hooked from the very beginning and didn’t expect any of what happened with RD and SPECTR. I am really looking forward to reading the next book because I know it is going to be big, action packed, and probably very emotional!
