3 stars – I liked it

Veteran goaltender Eric Bennett has decided to make some big changes with his life. He is finally admitting that he is bisexual and is looking to hook up with a guy for the first time. When his friend Kyle suggests a friends with benefits situation to get him used to dating men, he decides to take the chance. But too soon Eric realizes that he is falling for Kyle and he is also struggling with the age gap between them.

This was another enjoyable hockey romance. Eric was a sweet and calm man who is a bit of a homebody. He doesn’t really do parties and he doesn’t drink so he spends a lot of his time at home collecting art. Hooking up with Kyle pushes him outside his comfort zone and makes him realize a different future for himself. I liked Eric and how quickly he started falling for Kyle. My biggest issue was that I did get tired of his constant back and forth on being with Kyle because of their age gap.

Kyle was introduced in the first book and is friends with Kip. Kyle was a bright, fun, and sweet guy who went out of his way to show Eric that sex can be fun and consent was important. I loved how he took care of Eric and tough him about edging, kink, and gay sex. Kyle and Eric were a cute and sweet couple. I liked their relationship and how they ended up working through their issues at the end.

Overall, this was another enjoyable one. I liked these two and seeing the continued change around these hockey teams as more people come out.
