Title: Earth Boys Are Easy
Author: C. Rochelle
Series: Villains in Space #1; Villainous Things #4.5
Pages: 490

When Micah realizes his alien friend and crush Ziggy Stardust is returning home, he uses his abilities to tether them together. Now he has to help Ziggy navigate the truth about his species all while falling more in love with him.
After reading the Villainous Things series I was eager to learn more about Ziggy. Ziggy’s backstory was really sad. He was abandoned by both parents and forced to the bottom of society. He fought to become a bounty hunter and was really proud to be trusted with that position, even if he did end up failing to capture his father. I was a bit surprised this book doesn’t really cover how he is dealing with finding his father, outside of not talking about it. But I did like that we saw him reconnect with his other parent and that we got to see his feelings start to change around them.
Ziggy was also adorable with Micah. He was extremely sweet and very protective of him. He lost his shit any time he was in danger and I loved it. Ziggy may have daddy issues and commitment issues, but he was adorable with Micah and a great partner for him. Ziggy was just a fun character who stayed the same no matter what body he was in. I really can’t wait to get to know him better as this series continues.
Micah is a supe named Exo-Tech and can manipulate material to do what he wants. But since Micah is fifth in line to his clan he doesn’t feel like he is a part of the family unless he is using his abilities to help his clan. This is the first time he has really broken away and done what he wanted, and that is to show Ziggy he wants him. I really liked Micah. He was outspoken, brash, and a lot of fun. The perfect partner for a serious alien like Ziggy. Also I really like how Micah sought out the truth for Ziggy, when he needed a break from all the truths being thrown at him.
Ziggy and Micah had an intense, fun, and very steamy relationship that I really enjoyed. They traveled the stars on a mission for the Astrum Force Command but instead learned the truth and worked at rescuing their people. I just really enjoyed the mix of adventure, romance, and politics of this and look forward to finding out what will happen next.
Overall, this was a great start to a spinoff and I can’t wait to see what these two will get up to next. Hopefully we can see some more family bonding and see real change happening for the Stellarians that were under the Astrum Force Command.
