5 stars – I loved it!

Wolfgang has taken over as head of his family after the death of his parents, which he helped orchestrate. But now he has to track down his sister and decides to hire an assistant to help. As soon as he meets Simon Alarie he knows he has to have him, even if he can never physically touch him because of his powers. That doesn’t stop him from claiming his as his and letting everyone know it.

After reading the first book I was very interested in learning more about Wolfgang and the other members of the Suarez family. Wolfgang is known as the Hand of Death because he can’t physically touch someone without killing them. So of course, I wanted to see him finally find his person who can touch him and make him happy, and Simon worked perfectly for that.

This was another fantastic and captivating couple. Like the first book, I couldn’t put this down and loved every minute of Simon and Wolfgang’s story. Simon may be a small man, but he had a big personality who had no problem ordering big bad Wolfgang around from the very beginning. I loved how sassy Simon was and that he didn’t take shit from anyone. Also my favorite thing about him was that he respected Wolfgang’s no touching rule, but also wanted to help him overcome it because he thought it was trauma based for a while. I just loved how supportive, caring, and bossy Simon was.

Wolfgang has never been able to touch anyone without fear of killing them, so the man is extremely touch starved. I loved that when he realizes he can touch Simon he doesn’t hold back and it gets steamy quickly. But my favorite thing about Wolfgang was how much he cared for his family and protected them. I loved learning about all the ways he has protected them over the years and how he is planning gifts for some of them in the future so they don’t have to do criminal things.

This book also does a great job at expanding on this world of supes and the changing politics of it. We learned about the origins of supes in this one and it was so fascinating. I want to know more about it now, especially how it will affect the current politics of the supe world.

Overall, this was another fantastic story for this series and I can’t wait to read the next one. The Suarez family are all fascinating and unique so I am really excited to learn more about the rest of them and see them all fall in love.
