Title: Hunt Me! (I Crave the Chase)
Author: Fae Quin
Series: Spooky Boys #3
Pages: 535

Jeffrey has returned to his hometown and is finally living a normal life. Unfortunately he can’t get past everything that has happened to him and is struggling to figure out who the true Jeffrey is. When he meets Mutt, he feels safe and loved for the first time in his life, but he will have to fight to keep him.
Like the previous books, this one was another emotional rollercoaster. I was very curious about Jeffrey after reading Blair’s book. I really wanted to know his side of the story and how he is coping. This fulfilled that and so much more.
Jeffrey is struggling. He is trying to adjust to a normal life and overcome everything that has happened to him. His relationship with Blair, Richard, and Collin is a bit strained because he doesn’t know how to act around them. He has spent so long putting up a mask of happiness and doing whatever Lydia made him do that he is really struggling to find the true Jeffrey. I liked Jeffrey a lot and his journey to find himself. It was emotional, realistic, and kept me hooked to the story.
“Today is hard…But one day, it won’t be. There will be a day when you forget the pain. When it is simply a memory. Wounds heal, Jeffrey.”
Mutt is an alpha werewolf who has spent most of his life in wolf form. He doesn’t understand social cues or how to live as a human, but he tries so hard so he can be with Jeffrey. Mutt was just an adorable and sweet himbo. His struggle to be with Jeffrey but also heal himself was heartbreaking and emotional, but I loved how it worked out in the end. One thing about these books, Quin really does a great job at bringing emotion and tension to a story that keeps a reader hooked.
“You know…Sometimes there are burdens that are too heavy for one person to carry…You taught me that…Because every time I open up to you, I feel lighter.”
Mutt and Jeffrey’s relationship was so sweet and adorable. These two were just fantastic, just like all the other couples. I loved how we saw Jeffrey finally learning to lean on someone and put his trust in them. Mutt was adorable with his need to take care of and protect Jeffrey. He was perfect for Jeffrey because he was so protective, but also so sweet that he really helped Jeffrey heal and find his true self. Also I love how Mutt thought Jeffrey wouldn’t realize his pet wolf wasn’t him. They were just freaking adorable and I loved them so much.
Overall, this was another fantastic book for a fantastic series. I really loved all of these books. Quin does a great job with writing emotional romances with great character development. After reading and loving this series, I will totally be reading the rest of Quin’s books now.
