5 stars – I loved it!

This volume picks right up where the previous one left off with Vice-Captain Hoshina allowing the numbers weapon suit 10 to control the fight so they don’t die. We then have the second wave of the battle when multiple new Kaiju’s appear, number 11-15, and are targeting all the people wearing numbers weapons users and have been tailor made to fight their specific person. The battle scenes in this volume were great and I loved seeing how far some of these characters have come, especially Kikoru. I am very interested in seeing how the defense force deals with these tailor made kaiju in the next volume.

5 stars – I loved it!

Kaiju No. 9’s cataclysmic kaiju event continues with attacks by Kaiju No. 11-15 targeting all the numbers users. Kikoru’s is fighting No. 15 who takes on her appearance and is dealing with psychic attacks but that doesn’t stop Kikoru from fighting. Kikoru is one of my favorite characters and I love how far she has come since the first volume. She is no longer the girl trying to get her fathers praise but a deadly Defense Force soldier who is charting her own path.

Captain Gen Narumi is fighting Kaiju No. 11 and it was a heck of a fight. Narumi’s abilities with numbers weapon 1 are fascinating and really cool to see in action. We also see some of Hoshina’s fight against Kaiju No. 12. I know this is going to be an interesting battle and I can’t wait to see how Hoshina deals with it.
