4 stars – It was really good

Harry Dresden’s newest case involves going undercover on the set of an adult film to determine who has unleashed an entropy curse on the producer that is killing the women around him. The case leads to Harry  Harry dealing with White Court vampire Thomas, Karen Murphy, and Architect bodyguard Kincaid.

This was an action packed and unexpected adventure for Harry. Not only is he dealing with an entropy curse and vampires, but he is also learning more about his mother and family. I was hooked on this story from the very beginning. Thomas was a character who really interested me in the previous books so it was great to get a story focusing on him. His father was an interesting character too and I do like how this story ended for him. Also, I like that with every book focusing on the vampires we learn more about the different factions and how they work.

This book unveiled some new and startling facts for Harry that will change everything for him. I wasn’t expecting the reveals that happened and I am very curious to see how it will impact Harry in the future. Also, everything we learned about Harry’s mentor Ebenezer was so cool and I would love to know about his life. He seems like a really cool old wizard.

Overall, this was an action packed and interesting case for Harry. I didn’t remember any of this book and I am very curious to see what will happen next for him after everything that happened in this.

TW: murder; gun violence;
