Title: Space for Love
Author: Emily Antoinette
Series: Spire Station #1
Pages: 326

When Maerlon took the job at SimTech Suites, he planned to use the pleasure sims to escape the thoughts of his ex. But when a beautiful purple-haired human named Fina shows up, he finds himself distracted by her. But she only knows him as Breks the Holo, not the seladin with sharp teeth, and claws who most people fear. What makes it even more complicated, she works at his day job and appears to be scared of him.
This was a wonderful alien romance with a curvy heroine, a scary alien hero, a hidden identity, and cultural differences that lead to miscommunication. I really enjoyed Fina and Maerlon’s story. Fina was a great heroine who is just trying to start a new life and find a little love. Maerlon is a lonely hero who just wants someone to love him fully.
The tension of how Fina would find out the truth about Maerlon’s hidden identity was great. It wasn’t too angsty and kept me captivated by what would happen next. I also really appreciated that when the truth is revealed we see some good groveling from Maerlon, and he takes that second chance seriously. He doesn’t press her for more and is very cute when he takes care of her. Also for how sweet and cute this couple was, they had a steamy and kinky relationship that I really enjoyed.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and plan on reading the next book. I have never read this author before, but will be checking out their other books after this as well.
