4 stars – It was really good

Pia and Dragos have decided to move to their upstate NY residence to give Liam room to grow. Unfortunately, a freak accident happens during renovations and Dragos is injured. He has amnesia and doesn’t remember anything, especially Pia. Now she has to figure out how to get him back and help his memories return.

This was an emotional one. Pia and Dragos never seem to get a break but they continue to overcome everything that has been thrown at them. Dragos head injury causes him to forget everything and revert back to his dragon instincts. He struggles to come to terms with his missing memory and his mating to Pia. Like I said, this was emotional and it was sad seeing Dragos get frustrated or upset because he doesn’t remember or is jealous of his old self. But he can’t fight fate, and his feelings for Pia eventually help him pull through.

Pia was the MVP in this one though. As soon as she realizes what happened, she mobilizes everyone and gives out orders. She then works, by herself, to help Dragos realize she is his mate and to bring back his other memories. I really loved how strong she was being and that she didn’t get angry at Dragos for not remembering.

Overall this was an emotional story that will have long lasting implications for Dragos. I am interested in what will happen next with Liam though since we got that nice little surprise at the end of this one.
