4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

Parker Conroy moved to Alaska to be alone after his military career with Ghost Ops ended with three weeks in captivity. His plans change though when US Marshal Jenna Sheiden knocks on his door asking for his help in hunting a dangerous fugitive who was also a Ghost Ops soldier. As they get closer to catching the killer, Parker finds himself falling for the tough Marshal, even though they agreed this was just going to be a fling.

This was an action packed ending for this series. Parker is a tortured and scarred man who is determined to hide away in Alaska. He initially refuses to help but knows that only another Ghost Ops soldier will be able to stop their killer. As Parker works with Jenna though, he realizes how strong, capable, and beautiful she is and starts falling quickly. I really liked Parker, especially since he respected Jenna’s career and abilities to do her job. He never steps on her toes during the hunt or tries to prevent  her from doing something because she is a woman and it is dangerous. He just supported her and helped her take down a bad guy.

US Marshal Jenna Sheriden was a badass. She reminded me a lot of Brynn, Vander’s wife, (The Powerbroker) because of how capable and dedicated to her job she was. Jenna is instantly attracted to Parker but tries to keep her distance at first, but that quickly fails when she realizes how good of a man Parker is and how he doesn’t see it. Like I said, I really loved Jenna and how badass she was. She chased the killer around Alaska, dealt with injuries, kidnapping, and yet never backed down.

The hunt for the killer in this was great. It was action packed, dangerous, and took us all over Alaska, which makes sense because it was a former Ghost Ops soldier. I enjoyed the adventurer and how unpredictable it was. Also it was great to see the other Unbroken Heroes guys and Vander again.

Overall, this was a fantastic and action packed ending for this series. I really enjoyed Jenna and Parker’s story. I am looking forward to the next series by Hackett!
