Title: Alien Exile
Author: Ursa Dax
Series: Fated Mates of the Sea Sand Warlords #5
Pages: 249

Zoey spent most of her time on the alien planet alone in the wrecked human ship. But now that she is living with the Sea Sand guys she is struggling to get used to all the changes.. When a new kind of alien comes to the camp and announces she is his mate, she denies it at first. But the more she gets to know Kor, the more she finds herself falling for him.
This was a wonderful story. Zoey and Kor are complete opposites and Kor is more of a monster than the other warriors. Zoey is at first terrified and refuses to believe she is his mate. But once she starts actually talking to Kor and getting to know him, she realizes how sweet and gentle he really is. Zoey really grows from the shy and scared woman who hasn’t accepted what has happened, to an accepting and adventurous woman who will do anything for her mate. I really liked her growth.
“You are my dream. My shrine. The only star I will ever follow, ever worship.”
Kor is part Sea Sands and part Bitter Seas warrior. He is huge and has crocodile and lizard-like features. But while he may look fearsome and dangerous, he was a total sweetheart. I loved how gentle and sweet he was and that he fought his urges to let Zoey progress their relationship on her timeline. He was just a great partner for Zoey and a great new addition to the group.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable couple and another great book. With the introduction of the Bitter Sea people, this world continues to grow and gain new and interesting characters. I am really interested in seeing what will happen next since another clan is preparing to attack and there is still the threat of the Earth soldiers.
TW: kidnapping discussed; death of a parent mentioned; brief imprisonment; hypothermia
