2 stars – it was ok

When Jana finds herself kidnapped she knows no one will rescue her. But when her best friend is also kidnapped she has hope because she knows her boyfriend will find her. What she doesn’t expect is to be attracted to one of the mountain men who rescued her.

This was ok. This one is very short and because of that the relationship had very little development. It was a very instant love story, which I am usually ok with but I like a little more development between the couple.  While we barely get any of Cole’s backstory, we do get to learn about Jana and why she is gun shy about men. Her parents had a bit of a messy divorce and it traumatized her which led to a bit of a minor break between these two while they both figured out what they wanted.

Overall, this was fine. I still plan on reading the next one because I am curious how Bennet’s mail-order bride situation works out.

TW: PTSD and panic attacks; discussions of mother with depression and drug abuse problems;
