Title: Defy the Future
Author: Keira Andrews
Series: Kick at the Darkness #3
Pages: 298

It’s been three years since Parker and Adam have arrived at Salvation Island. Life has been peaceful but when a ship arrives with a new werewolf pack everything changes.
Parker and Adam are a great couple and I love seeing how far they have come since the previous book. Parker is still dealing with his anxiety and PTSD but we also see how much he has grown. He’s not afraid to stand up for himself or those he loves. Parker continues to love and accept Adam just as he is, which is one of my favorite things about him. Adam was just as awesome as before and continues to adore Parker so much. I love how in love he is with Parker and that he really understands how his mind works. I just love how these two look after each other.
The zombie apocalypse is still raging on the mainlands and its cause is still unknown. We do finally learn more about the situation in the UK from the new pack. The second half of this book was action packed and while I enjoyed it a lot, especially since Parker gets a great surprise, I still felt it was a tad bit rushed compared to the rest of the book.
Overall, this was a great conclusion to Parker and Adam’s story. They have been a great couple from the beginning and I loved seeing them grow stronger with each thing they overcome. Also I have really enjoyed this post-apocalyptic setting and the unique creepers within.
TW: anxiety; PTSD; past death of parents and sibling; possible death of wife and child
