Title: The Prince’s Poisoned Vow
Author: Hailey Turner
Narrator: Gary Furlong
Series: Infernal War Saga #1
Length: 17 hrs and 16 mins

Holy crap this book! This epic fantasy was filled with nonstop action and romance that spanned 20 years and about 15 different POVs. I don’t usually read epic fantasy books but since it was Hailey Turner I knew I had to give it a chance, and I am amazed at the world she is creating. This was a very complex world filled with a lot of politics but it was easy to follow and get sucked into all the different characters’ stories.
My favorite characters so far from this series are Blaine and Honovi. These two were fantastic and I loved seeing them take care of each other while doing their duty. I hated that they had to spend so much time apart but loved that Honovi figured out how they could see each other again. I really hope these two continue a main part of the story because I really love them.
The next major couple that I really enjoyed was Prince Vanya and Warden Soren, who is also hiding that he is the lost prince of Ashion. Since Soren is a Warden he isn’t supposed to develop attachments or get involved in the country’s politics, so I am very curious to see how their relationship will play out. Vanya may be a prince but with Soren we see him be his true self and talk about his fears, especially for his daughter. I really am enjoying their relationship, especially since Soren doesn’t take any of Vanya’s entitled crap.
Between all these relationships we have the Clockwork Brigade and another hidden royal Caris. Caris is a teenager in this book but we see the start of her first relationship and uncovering the truth about her heritage. I am looking forward to seeing Caris grow and come into her abilities.
Overall, this has been a wild ride and I know it’s just going to get worse. I can’t wait to see what all these people will do next. Also the narrator for the audiobook was fantastic and really brought all these different characters to life.
