Title: Meet Me At Christmas
Author: Bianca Blythe
Series: Holidays for Spinsters #3
Pages: 112

This was another enjoyable Christmas romance. Hazel Howard has been helping with the war effort by decoding French spy communications for Lord Aston. Fortunately, the handsome Lord Aston has no knowledge of her identity and she isn’t brave enough to tell him, even if she is falling for him through their correspondence. When she notifies him she will be spending Christmas in Northumberland, he uses the excuse to view the troops stationed there to locate her.
Hazel and Titus’s relationship began through their correspondence to each other over a year. This book takes place after that first year and Titus is trying to meet up with Hazel because he has fallen for her and wants to know her identity. Hazel has also fallen for him but continues to hide her identity because she thinks herself too plain and a wallflower. I really loved Hazel and how smart she was but wished she had more confidence in herself, but that was mostly her brother and sister-in-laws fault it seems.
Titus was confident in his job but very shy and awkward when it came to courting ladies. We see that very quickly when he tries to arrange a meet up with Miss Keen Decoder and the meeting goes south when he thinks someone else is her. While I liked that Titus was awkward and shy with Hazel, I didn’t like how he treated her in the coffee shop. He did apologize for his behavior but I think his actions were a bit shitty. I still liked him overall, but that scene changed my feelings on him.
Overall, this was another short and sweet Christmas romance. I enjoyed it and wonder if there will be more books in this series with the remaining spinsters because I have enjoyed these women and their Christmas romances.
TW: gun violence and injuries; attempted kidnapping; self-confidence issues
