3 stars – I liked it

This volume continues right at the cliffhanger of the previous volume. Gojo has been stabbed by Toji Fushiguro but it doesn’t keep Gojo down. The battle between Gojo and Toji was extremely interesting because it’s the first time we really see Gojo get seriously hurt and get a really good explanation of how his powers can work. This is also the point that Gojo actually understands parts of his powers that have been only theory before now. It was just a very interesting battle and I think Toji was a very cool villain, even if he was a very short lived one, he still did a lot of damage and prevented Gojo and Geto from fulfilling their task, which was surprising.

This volume is also where we see what happened with Suguru Geto and what caused him to break with the Jujutsu sorcerers and want to destroy all non-sorcerers. It was extremely sad seeing Geto lose himself and basically turn to wanting to destroy the majority of humanity instead of protecting it. I was also very sad for Gojo who is losing his best friend.

Title: Jujutsu Kaisen Vol. 10: Evening Festival

Series: Jujutsu Kaisen Chapters 80-88

Pages: 192

4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

This volume is the start of the Shibuya incident which is a ploy by Geto to trap Gojo. We see the sorcerers grouped up into teams around Shibuya station as backup, while Gojo, Mei Mei,  and Yuji are in the station fighting to take down the barrier and stop Geto, Hanami, Jogo, Choso, and Mahito.  So far we see Gojo taking on Hanami, Jogo, and Choso and he is really wiping the floor with those three. I am very interested in seeing how this battle plays out and if this trap is going to work to capture Gojo.
