Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
Hello everyone! It has been a very long time since I did a Top Ten Tuesday but I want to get back into occasionally doing one of these posts. This weeks topic is all about last years reading and what new authors I read. I am going to focus on authors that I really loved and either read or plan to read more of in the future.
This week’s topic is: New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2023

Each of these authors are ones that as soon as I read one book by them I went and binged either their entire backlog or at least more than one series. I will defiantly be reading anything these authors put out in the future too.

This year I really got into reading manga and it was wonderful. I read the ‘dark trio’ which is Chainsaw Man, Hell’s Paradise, and Jujutsu Kaisen (which I am still working on). I really enjoyed Hell’s Paradise, and the anime as well, so I will be reading Yuji’s other manga’s at some point. I also read Kaiju No 8 and it was instantly a favorite. I really want to know what is going to happen next in it. I have been watching One Piece since it aired in 1999 but never read it until last year and it was a great way to revisit the series. I want to check out Oda’s other works now.
I’ve read that whole series by Deanna Raybourn, and can’t wait to start the next one (coming in March, I think). So much fun!

Ooh, Deanna Raybourn seems to be quite a popular one this week! I’m hoping to check out her series too 🙂 Also, I love Lemming and can’t wait to read more from her this year. I hope you discover more amazing new authors in 2024!

I enjoyed Raybourn’s books. I am not a huge historical mystery reader but they were good, especially if you like a very slow burn.
