4 stars – It was really good

This volume collects episodes 103-126 of the Webtoon comic.

In this volume, Persephone starts her first day of work in the underworld, Hades and Minthe finally break up, and blackmail is gathered against Persephone.  We previously saw Hades struggling with the toxic relationship he was in with Minthe but after the events at the end of the previous volume he finally calls it quits and realizes he needs to find someone who loves him all the time, not sometimes. I really love that we are seeing Hades and Persephone overcome toxic relationships and find some happiness helping each other on the bad days. I really like these early moments of Hades and Persephone’s relationship and their first kiss.

Persephone is dealing with some blackmail that is being used to coerce Zeus against her in this. While this blackmail is being utilized against her we see Apollo still trying to get his way and is now trying to coerce Hera and Zeus into giving Persephone to him as a wife. Apollo continues to be a character that I loathe and I can’t wait to see brought down. We end with Persephone being declared a wanted fugitive so it will be interesting to see what happens next for her and her mother, who was also included in the charges leveled against her.

Overall, this story is both heartbreaking and wonderful. I can’t stop reading once I start and I really am feeling the urge to binge all the webtoon comics now.  I just can’t wait to see how Hades and Persephone’s story plays out.

TW: toxic relationships; sexual trauma; anxiety; depression;
