Author: Stacey Kennedy
Series: Undead Ever After #1
Pages: 194

Willa Farrington is a witch with broken magic, shunned by her coven, and living in Charleston, a city that belongs to vampires. She owns Cauldron Boil Books and is living her life, and making friends, among the vampires, until one night when she is attacked and everything changes.
This was a wonderful surprise that I really enjoyed. Willa was a witch with no magic but she doesn’t let it destroy her life. She instead moves to a vampire town, opens a bookshop with her pet dragon and lives her life. I really like how resilient Willa was and that she didn’t let the lack of magic and banishment from her coven destroy her or turn her evil. Willa also handled finding out the truth about her heritage very well. She was just a great protagonist.
Killian, the Vampire Warden of Charleston, was a protective, strong, and usually closed off man, but with Willa he is open from the very beginning. I liked how even though he didn’t initially trust Willa because she was a witch he was never disrespectful or made her uncomfortable. Killian and Willa’s relationship was very fast paced and sweet. They didn’t hide their feelings for each other and jumped all in.
This was just a very interesting paranormal world with witches, vampires, and pet dragons. I am very interested in seeing what happens next for Willa and Killian.
