Red-Haired Ash Reads

As someone who has read all of Estep’s urban fantasy books, I was so excited when this book was announced. I have been wanting a crossover book between these two series since I read the Mythos Academy books and realized it was in the same universe as the Elemental Assassin books. Well this book did not disappoint!

This book is a dual POV novella with Gin (Elemental Assassin) and Gwen (Mythos Academy) doing what they do best: killing people and stopping the Reapers from gaining artifacts. I loved getting to see these two meet and become friends. They started out suspicious of each other but when things happen, they quickly realize they can trust each other. The battle scene was fantastic and it made me want to see these two fighting together again in the future. 

Overall, this was an absolutely fantastic crossover! Gin and Gwen make a perfect team and could learn so much from each other. I really want more stories with these two now because this novella just wasn’t enough for me.
