Title: In Rides Trouble
Author: Julie Ann Walker
Series: Black Knights Inc #2
Pages: 323

Becky “ Rebel” Reichert is one character who I instantly loved and couldn’t wait to know more about her. She is sassy, smart, and takes no one’s shit. After the ending in the first book I was so excited to jump right into this one to see what Becky will do and how her relationship with Frank will progress.
Frank was an extremely protective man who didn’t let a lot of people in. I loved getting his POV and seeing how in love he is with Becky and why he has kept her at a distance. It really made me love his character, and this relationship, a lot more. I still think he was a bit of a dummy for waiting so long to make a move with Becky though.
Frank and Becky have spent years ignoring their feelings for each other so from the very beginning there was a lot of tension and it didn’t let up until the end. While I don’t normally like a lot of this kind of tension, I really like Frank and Becky’s story. These two’s arguments were just foreplay and I don’t know how they lasted so long without banging each other.
The mission in this one centered around rescuing Becky and her friend Eve from Somali pirates and the after effects of that mission. I liked seeing Frank, Bill, and Angel in the field and getting to see how their friendship works. Also, I am very interested in learning more about Becky’s friend Eve.
Overall, this was another great blend of action, tension, and romance. I am really loving the brotherhood this group has and how they take care of each other. I can’t wait to read the next one.
CW: kidnapping and hostage situation; injury needing surgery; PTSD; mentions of death and grief; brief mention of rape (not MFC); gun violence and death
