Title: Warlord
Author: Elizabeth Vaughan
Series: Chronicles of the Warlands #3
Pages: 340

Lara and Keir’s story continues with them making their way to the Heart of the Plains so Lara can be declared Warprize. Like the previous books, this was another emotional one that kept me hooked to the story. I couldn’t put it down and finished it within a few hours.
Lara and Keir continue to be a wonderful couple who can weather any storm together. This is the first time we see Lara stand on her own in enemy territory and fight for her relationship with Keir. The laws of the Plains are very different from what Lara is used to but she does a great job at navigating the Council and showing how change can be a good thing. I really wish we got to see more of the culture of the plains and different tribes.
This book is just as emotional as the previous one. There are more attempts on Keir and Lara’s life and we learn the truth about some past deaths. This whole story is captivating, emotional, and just wonderfully romantic. I loved seeing Keir and Lara fight for their love while trying to change the future. Also, I loved Lara’s temper and sassiness in this one because she holds nothing back.
Overall, Lara and Keir’s story was amazing and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series, even if they are not about Keir and Lara. I am so glad I decided to reread this series because these two are definitely one of my favorite couples.
