4 stars – It was really good

Well this was another emotional and wonderful book! I am a bit obsessed with this series and so I am very sad that I have to wait for the next one to be published now, especially after that cliffhanger of an ending!

Nico and Keegan meet in the previous book when Keegan brought Wendy to the Kincaid Pack. They had only a brief glance at each other but it was enough for them both to know they were each other’s mates. Their relationship starts out really rocky and we see them having to work to rebuild their trust. I really appreciated that we see these two actually rebuilding their trust even though it is a fated mate’s romance, because I like seeing a strong relationship built on actual love and respect, not just because fate decides. These two have a slow burn relationship, at least for this series, and it was absolutely beautiful.

“I have never felt safe until I was in your arms. I have never felt wanted until I felt your body pressed against mine. And I have never felt loved until I saw your smile. I am ready, Nico. I love you.”

The overarching story for this series continues to be interesting and I am so invested in it. We learn new secrets, prophecies are finally deciphered, and it all ends with a cliffhanger, which I wasn’t expecting in this series. Like I said at the beginning, I cannot wait till the next book so we can find out what happens next for the Kincaid Pack.
