4 stars – It was really good

This one picks up the day after the previous book ended. Damian, Raven, Gar, and Max are headed to meet up with Max’s mother in a safe place to make a plan for dealing with Slade and H.I.V.E. As you can tell from the title, this one focuses mainly on Damian.

Like the previous books, I really enjoyed this one. While we do get to learn about Damian and why he was contacting Slade, we also see what these teens start to learn to control their abilities and what they plan to do about H.I.V.E.. Damian’s story is pretty stereotypical for his character. I did love that Dick is actually a caring big brother and tries to have a relationship with Damian. Damian may be a bit of a hot head but we finally see him learning to lean on others and build bonds with this group of misfits.

Overall, this was a great continuation of this series and I can’t wait to read the next book because it is about Starfire, who is one of my favorite Teen Titan’s characters. Also, I want to see more Beast Boy and Raven because they are adorable together.
