Series: Consortium Rebellion #2
Pages: 403

Bianca is finally free from her abusive ex-husband and back with her family using her skills to gather data and information for the war. When her brother is kidnapped, Bianca does everything she can to find him, even if it means working with the very bodyguard who rejected her years ago.
Bianca was wonderful! She is tough, smart, resourceful, and extremely determined. She has not had any easy life but it hasn’t broken her spirit. Bianca is also extremely protective of her family and will go to any lengths to protect them, which we saw in this book. She did everything she could, including putting herself in extreme danger, just to rescue her brother. I really just love Bianca and how resourceful she was.
While we learn a lot about Bianca, we learn very little about Ian. For the majority of the book he shows little feelings, besides anger or frustration, towards Bianca. It wasn’t until the end that we actually see him express some real emotion and state his feelings for Bianca. Because of this, I didn’t really connect with this relationship, especially since they barely spent any time together for the first half of the book. I think this relationship would have been more emotional if we had both POV’s but since we don’t, it fell a little flat for me.
I enjoyed the action and story in this one more than the relationship. Bianca was fearless when it came to rescuing her brother and I enjoyed seeing her adapt to situations. I look forward to reading the next book and seeing what is happening with the Consortium, and with the youngest sister, Cat.
Trigger Warnings: Bianca’s ex-husband experimented on her without her permission and was abusive; brief mention of miscarriage; kidnapping; torture;
