4 stars – It was really good

After months of fighting Covington, Rory and Team Midgard finally enter the final battle. Covington has gotten very creative in defeating the team, but Rory has learned to be just as creative in countering him.

I really enjoyed this spin-off series. Rory is a lot like her cousin Gwen but more deadly and determined. Rory puts her whole heart and soul into protecting her friends and we really see that in this final battle. Rory has grown so much since she was introduced. She has refound her confidence, made strong friends, found love, and found the will to defeat evil.

The final battle against Covington was just as exciting and unexpected as I figured it would be. Covington really has thought of a creative way to build an army using the artifacts. I do think his drive for power was a bit weak but he still was a good villain because he did unexpected things. I really enjoyed this final battle and couldn’t put the book down until it was over.

Overall, this was a great ending for Rory and the team. I really loved seeing all these characters mature and find love. While I am sad that this will be the last Mythos Academy book,  I did really enjoyed both series.
