Author: Annabeth Albert
Series: Out of Uniform #4
Pages: 295

Lieutenant Dustin Strauss has keep his bisexual identity under wraps for years, and his kinky side. After months of chatting, Dustin finally meets his semi-anonymous friend and they instantly hit it off. What neither of them expect is to end up on the same team and having to hide their relationship.
This was a wonderful forbidden romance. Dustin and Wes were hot as hell together! I wasn’t expecting such a kinky and steamy book from Alberts, but now I want more. Dustin and Wes were both incredible characters and their relationship was angsty as hell. Because of military regulations, their relationship is forbidden but they can’t keep away from each other.
Dustin is instantly attracted to Wes but once he becomes a part of the team he tries to keep his distance. I liked that while he tries to keep his distance, he still tries to take care of Wes. He was there for Wes when the situation with his sister got worse, even if it meant they could get caught. I loved the contrast in Dustin. He is this tough SEAL but he also needed to give up control in the bedroom. Dustin is also struggling with coming out to his family, especially his father, about being bisexual. He puts all this pressure on himself and forgets to just be happy.
Wes was an amazing character and partner for Dustin. He instantly knows that what they have is special and doesn’t want to give it up, but he also doesn’t want to put Dustin’s career in danger. He is always putting others first and struggles with not being in control, especially in the bedroom. He is also a very devoted brother. His sister’s condition was heartbreaking and I just wanted to hug him multiple times because of it. I was surprised that his insomnia was never discussed though but it could be stress related.
Overall, these two were so adorable and sweet together (and very steamy). I loved all the angst and emotion between these two and I want more now. I can’t wait to see them pop up in future books.
Trigger Warnings: Wes’ sister has a chronic heart condition leading to surgeries and a transplant.; coming out to family; HALO jump accident leading to minor injuries
