When Team Midgard finds out that Covingtonis after another artifact, they are determined to stop him, especially Rory. Unfortunately, when Reapers are involved, things never go as planned or as easy as they should be.
This was a great continuation of Rory’s fight against the Reapers. The team has to deal with Reapers, chimeras, basilisks, a thief, and a deadly poison. The artifact in this one was very interesting and quite dangerous. It will be very interesting to see how the team deals with stopping this artifact. Also, I am really enjoying seeing more artifacts within this world and the Gods that created them.
“Your magic, your power, your strength, come from your willingness to sacrifice to protect the people you love, no matter what pain you have to endure yourself.“
Rory has already grown a lot since she was originally introduced in Midnight Frost. She is still angry about her parents’ deaths but she has learned to channel her feelings into defeating the Reapers. She also has friends now which has really improved her self-confidence, especially since Ian is also struggling with some of the same issues right now. Rory and Ian also finally admit their feelings for each other. I can’t wait to see how their relationship grows in the next book.
Overall, this was another enjoyable adventure for Rory and the gang. I really can’t wait to see how they stop this threat in the next book.
