4 stars – It was really good

Sin is a master assassin and the only female Seminus demon ever born. She also has the deadly ability to kill people with diseases. Unfortunately, it goes awry and she ends up creating a lethal werewolf virus that causes a pandemic. Now she has to work with half-werewolf, half-vampire Conall to try and find a cure for this deadly disease.

Sin and Con’s story was action packed and emotional. Sin hasn’t let anyone close to her since her Seminus side was unleashed. She has been a slave for most of her life and longs to be free but also doesn’t know how to be free anymore. She bottles up all her emotions otherwise she can’t function. Watching Con break down her barriers and for her to feel again was very emotional and great character development. I really love Sin because she goes from very standoffish to an emotional and strong woman. I loved it.

“She was life. She was death. She was the most dangerous female he’d ever met, and if he was smart, he’d run like hell.”

Con is a very unique character. He is a vampire/werewolf hybrid (dhampire), which is a first for this series. He was a very interesting male. He is a thrill seeker and does all kinds of risky things to live life to the fullest. The dhampires culture was very interesting and I did not expect some aspects of it, which is always great. I really liked how Con was always pushing Sin to be better and embrace her emotions.

Con and Sin relationship was intense. They started as very antagonistic towards each other because of the circumstances of the warg pandemic, but as they got to know each other, they started to fall for each other. It was a very enjoyable relationship because they actually had to work for it, and work through both of their traumas and hangups. I was hooked from the beginning, especially with the danger and overarching storyline on top of it.

This book concludes the last Seminus demon sibling’s story but its just the beginning of this series. The warg pandemic has sparked a new threat to not just the demons, but to the world. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are now in play and I can’t wait to see how their story will intertwine with the Seminus siblings.

Overall, this was a great addition to the series. I loved Sin and Con! Their relationship was wonderful and I loved all the action on top of it. I can’t wait to jump into the next book and start the Horsemen’s saga.

Trigger Warnings: warg (werewolf) pandemic, slavery, rape, death of children, death and violence
