4 stars – It was really good

Ren is desperate for a rebound fling and the smoking hot contractor he hired seems like the perfect man for the job. What he doesn’t expect is for this to lead to weekly meet ups and feelings to become involved.

This was a very enjoyable read. Ren is struggling to get over a nasty breakup and uses this fling with Cole to find his passions again. I liked Ren and his fear of change and trying something new. While Ren may be use to being in a relationship, you can definitely tell that he has not had a partner who actually cared for him completely and he finds that with Cole. I loved seeing him swoon for all the little things Cole did for him.

Cole is a guy who has never been in a relationship, just a lot of hookups. He doesn’t think he is capable of having a relationship until he meets Ren and finds he wants to try. Cole may be a burly construction worker but he was such a sweet man. I loved how caring and passionate he was. These two have a very sexy and passionate relationship that was also very sweet and caring. I loved it. Also a bonus is that they are in their 30s and 40s!

We also get introduced to the other members of Four Bears Construction. I found them all very interesting and I loved the banter and friendship between them. I can’t wait to see each of them fall in love now. Also, Ren’s friend Daniel.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series now and maybe the rest of Neuhold’s blacklist at this rate. I really love her writing and characters so far.
