Title: Spartan Frost
Author: Jennifer Estep
Series: Mythos Academy #4.5
Pages: 51

Logan Quinn is struggling to come to terms with being put under the Reapers sway and almost killing Gwen. He has left the academy and is staying with his father. It was nice to finally get his POV during this series because we have mostly only see the warrior side of him so far.
Logan is a very strong and protective young man but he also has been through a lot of trauma in his life. His fathers actions growing up have created a powerful and driven warrior but it also leaves him with baggage. The events in the previous book have left him feeling even lower about himself. He is especially afraid that Loki can still access his body. It was wonderful seeing his father Linus actually be there for him during this period and actually trying to help. He definitely is trying to make up for his past actions and I like seeing them starting to bond again.
The mini battle that Logan and his father fight in this was entertaining and brings up more questions about what the Reapers are doing. By the end of this novella Logan does realize that while he may have left his friends to protect them he may have inadvertently left them vulnerable. I am very interested in seeing how the next book starts after the ending of this, especially since we finally have seen how much Logan is in love with Gwen.
Also, why is there a girl on this cover when it’s Logan’s story? I really think there should have been a guy on the cover.
