This was a very interesting world and story. Lily is a very interesting character who has had a very rough past. To cope with everything, she drinks, uses opium, and has multiple lovers, including the famous Lord Byron, whom she is madly in love with. Lily is a rough character but as the story progresses she realizes she is ready to change her life. She no longer wants to be an alcoholic and drug user. She wants to be better and is actively taking steps to make it so. I loved her character growth.
The overall story plot was very interesting and I enjoyed it. This is definitely a unique and magical world. I loved the airship racing and all the suspense that went with it. I am excited to start the next book now and see what happens next in Lily’s life.
