February 2022 Reading Wrap Up

Monthly wrap up banner

Its a new month so that means it’s time for a wrap up. I read a lot of book in February. I participated in Graphcisathon and read 28 graphic novels for it. I also reread two favorite series, in like a week. I have been doing a lot of rereading this year because its how I deal with stress, and right now the world is a dumpster fire so I am rereading everything.

Reading Stats:

Books Read: 67

  • New: 45
  • Re-reads: 22

Like I said, a lot of books this month.

Formats:

  • eBooks: 35
  • Audiobooks: 7
  • Comics/Manga: 28
  • Paperback: 0
  • Hardback: 1
  • Bonus Shorts: 1

Like I said, I participated in a Graphicsathon so I read a lot of graphic novels and manga this month. It was fun and a nice break from reading full novels. I do feel a little burned out now though and will probably take a bit of a break from graphic novels, at least for a week or two.

Like usual, most of my books were purchased but I did use KU and my library a lot this month. I also read 8 ARCs and cut my TBR for it down a lot, unfortunately as soon as I got it down to two books I got approved for more so its back up to 5 again. I will eventually clear it.

Ratings:

This month was another good month in terms of ratings. I rated most of what I read 3 or more stars. I did have a few 2 stars and a DNF but still a success in my book.

Pages:

  • 12,100 pages

Listening time:

  • 32 hours 21 minutes

Genres and Tropes:

I read a lot of SciFi and Fantasy this month, which was a nice break from paranormal.

My main trope this month was alien abduction because I reread all of the Galactic Gladiator books by Anna Hackett. I love a good alien abduction romance and her books are comfort reads now.

Most Read Author:

Like I said above, my most read author this month was definitely Anna Hackett. Follow ups were Tatsuya Endo (Spy X Family), J. R. Pace (Grim Reaper series), and Kami Garcia (Teen Titans).

Goodreads Challenge Update:

  • 119 out of 500 read

I never expected to read this much by now but I don’t regret it.
