4 stars – It was really good

Nevada and Rogan’s wedding is coming up and Catalina is acting as the wedding planner. But before the wedding can happen, she has to find the bride’s priceless tiara that has been stolen. Along the way she learns how to use her powers, stands up for herself, and digs up a whole bunch of dirt on Rogan’s family.

Catalina has been a minor character in the series up to this point. The most we have seen of her and her abilities are when she helped with the mission and her prime test. She is just starting her adult life and is trying to figure out her future. While scared, we finally see her starting to embrace and use her abilities. Her ability is quite fascinating and I really can’t wait to see how she grows in the next two books.

I liked that Catalina is following in Nevada’s footsteps of working in the family business. She really is shaping up to be a very effective investigator. Also, I liked that she is really trying to push herself out of her comfort zone and interact with others because with her ability it can easily go wrong. I really can’t wait to see what is going to happen in the next book.

Also, Rogan’s mother is a scary she-dragon when she needs to be.
