Title: In the Requiem
Author: Hailey Turner
Series: Metahuman Files #5
Pages: 434

Well this book took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride!
Jamie Callahan and his family’s reputation is continuing to take hits after the events in the previous book. While everything is falling apart the team knows that another attack by the terrorists is bound to happen soon. This was an action packed book from the very beginning. The team is dealing with Congress investigating them, tracking terrorists, and keeping each other safe.
Like the previous book, this one jumps between Jamie and Kyle and Sean and Alexei. Jamie and Kyle are still hiding their relationship and you can see the strain it has had on both of them. Their relationship is put to the test in this one. Jamie had to make a terrible decision in this one and it was a very emotional time for a little bit.
Sean and Alexei are finally healing from the trauma of their torture. We see their relationship is almost back to where it was in the beginning. They continue to work well as a team. He has become a valuable member of the team. I loved seeing these two work together and become a stronger couple.
This book is a turning point for the war against the terrorist. They make a huge play and Alpha Team steps up to stop them. It was action packed, emotional, and the fallout will last a long time. Overall this was a very emotional book for both couples. I am very interested in seeing what will happen next with the team and the mission.
