Title: The Amazing Screw-on Head and Other Curious Objects
Author: Mike Mignola
Illustrators: Dave Stewart, Clem Robins, Pat Brosseau
Pages: 104

Well this was an interesting and weird comic!
The Screw-on Head, with his faithful manservant Mr. Groin and his dog, Mr. Dog, are sent by President Lincoln to fight Emperor Zombie. Yes, I know that is a strange sentence but that is what this story was, strange. The Screw-on Head was just a weirdly strange, but also very good, story and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the odd things that were in it, like a turnip that was hiding a demon. I give this strange story 4 stars.
The rest of the stories in this collection include, The Magician and the Snake (written with his daughter), Abu Gung and the Beanstalk, The Witch and Her Soul, The Prisoner of Mars, and The Chapel of Curious Objects. These stories were short and not as interesting as the Screw-on head, but I still enjoyed them.
Overall, this is an interesting collection of weird tales set in Mignola’s universe. You don’t have to have read any of his books to understand these stories. They are all pretty self contained. I do recommend reading it just for the weird and wonderful Screw-On Head story though.
